Why not do both--reward annual passholders AND keep the food places open?

I made one assumption. A budget is a set amount of dollars. Given the alternative, I selected the one that made the most sense to me. Given unlimited dollars, I would have selected updating the movies at EPCOT.

I also disagree that, as a loyal customer, that these perks will change anything I do at Disney -- except maybe spend less. If I skip buying a drink outside, and go to the free lounge, Disney loses money. I pick where I watch the fireworks based on which way the wind is blowing (to avoid chocking on the smoke) and where I am at the time. A "special area" is of no importance to me.
