I have an employee who never saved. Three years ago I convinced her to enroll in the company's 401K and to take life insurance for her husband through the company. A few weeks ago her husband died and she will be receiving the life insurance.
Question to you tax "wiz" guys: will she have to pay taxes on the life insurance, and would appreciate suggestions for me to pass on to her for investing this money for her retirement. I will pass info on to her.
