I am just about to turn 31, and I am really just starting to invest in a few select stocks. I am enjoying it, and beginning to see some return.I have worked for the same company for 7 years, and have contributed heavily to our 401(k) program. I don't consider the plan to be a strong one. I guess my question, or concern is how can I figure out where I will be financially in 25 years? I also don't know whether or not to stop contributing so heavily to the weak 401(k) and start place the extra cash into additional stock ventures.I do have $42K in the 401(k) plan, and contribute about$700 montlhy on a pre-tax basis.Any help or advice would be great! Thanks!
