Will purchase SPY Monday...hope to follow this up with another positive post.

It's Monday! As promised, my follow up post:

Well, just for giggles, tried getting into Ameritrade near the start of trading today...and guess what...couldn't get in. But, five minutes later I did get in...the system was running slowly, you could tell they were a experiencing a decent load.

About an hour later (10:30 EST) I got in and placed an order for SPY, about 15 seconds later, system responded that the order request timed out. At 11:30, placed order, no problem. Didn't get filled immediately, but that's OK with me. After lunch, I checked and it had gone through close to what I expected it to (market order.)

Didn't seem to be that bad...lots of sites on the internet are congested. I just had to remember to take my time and be careful, 'cause it's my money I'm dealin' with! Overall a positive experience.

Joel
