I'm a new poster, so please bear with me if this has been asked before. I did a search, but didn't see it. We're remodeling our 70's era master bath, and I got a wild hair and decided to scrape all the popcorn off the ceiling. My idea is to cover the ceiling with joint compound: just using a putty knife and puttng a thick layer in a kind of "swirling" motion. Has anyone ever done this before? In my mind it looks great, but I've never done it before and may just be fooling myself. Any feedback would be appreciated - Thanks!
