Will unchecking "Enable plug-ins" have any affect on Java security, if "Enable Java" is already unchecked?

No, and now that you mention it, it makes me wonder why "Enable Java" has its own checkbox.

After all, there is no "Enable Flash" checkbox.

I have "Enable plug-ins" checked, and "Enable Java" unchecked.

I just did a little testing, and both checkboxes do exactly what they claim.

In other words, if you uncheck "Enable plugins," then Java won't run, even if the "enable Java" checkbox is checked.
