I was logged in on my home computer when a pop up box appeared from Microsoft telling me my version of Windows XP is a beta version of the software.

It went on to inform me that the full version is now available at retailers across the country.

It then logged me off. Everything works fine when I'm offline working on spreadsheets, but everytime I log in Big Brother says "Get off"

I bought my computer a few years ago at a computer show. So I can't go back to them.

Do I need to buy XP?
If so, which one? There's about four different versions out there ranging from $55 to $200.

Thanks for your help.
