Winmag,

Gosh, what a nice note! Thanks for the kind words. I am perplexed, though, about what you called my earlier but dated recommendations to by MO. Did I do that?

After you were so kind and said such nice things I hate to say this, but I never recommended buying it. MO was on the Foolish Four list last year, but that's not exactly a "recommendation." A stock lands on the list because it has a combination of high yield and low price. The average return of those stocks tends to be higher than the average for the market as a whole, but it really says nothing at all about any specific stock. The average return of those stocks tends to be higher than the average for the market as a whole, but I never recommend specific stocks--I only recommend following the strategy and even provided info on how to follow it without MO if one was inclined to do so, although I don't recommend trying to "mess with" the strategy.

I guess I'm uncomfortable at being perceived as a MO supporter. Neutral is about as positive as I get on the company. :)

But I really liked what you wrote. I hope I deserve it for other things. :)

Ann Coleman
