Hi,

Why do wireless phone companies get away with charging customers early termination fees when they cancel their contracts before they expire?
I cancelled my Verizon plan because I got a free crackberry with my new job, and they dunned me $83. On top of the outrageous taxes of roughly 1/3 of the bill each month. (We're still paying off the Spanish American war.)

More to the point, why do the consumers of America let them get away with it? "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore."
I don't think landline phone services charge termination fees, at least Verizon doesn't.

Let's get a movement going to stop this ripoff!
Tell 'em you're gonna cancel your service unless they repeal this nonsense.
