With all kindness, that is not a question that is easily answered. The problem is the level of assistance needed and costs where the service will be rendered. Just one example - we are responsible for a person. Something called medicine management (i.e. ordering prescription refills and giving the pills) costs $550 per month. If a resident is on insulin there is another charge which used to be $350 per month.

I don't know the range today, but five years ago we were looking in Tennessee and found within a 35 mile radius costs ranged from $3,000 to $7,000 per month at facilities we examined. There certainly were others that cost more and you can always find someone who is not licensed that will have a low price.

So I suggest you find some facilities where ever you think the person will be and get some appointments to visit. That said, you may want to say you are checking for ______ (you fill in the blank about the relationship) because these people do not really want to talk about the costs.
