Within walking distance of our new house, www.gardunosofarizona.com , pretty decent food with a little bit of a New Mexican flavor. I've been going there because of being able to walk.A little further up Scottsdale Road is the Sandbar, www.sandbaraz.com . Again, food's not terrible, in a fun environment, there's even a wading pool out front. Keep going up Scottsdale Road and you hit Brennan's Cantina, www.brennans-sportsbars.com/sd_aboutus.htm . A little more of a grungy neighborhood bar environment, but not bad food.I'm not a huge Mexican food snob, but I like all three of these places enough to keep me from driving further most of the time. I've had fun at Aunt Chilada's, www.auntchiladas.com , when we've been staying at the Hilton, but probably wouldn't drive over there if we weren't staying there. I DO drive to Richardson's Cuisine of New Mexico, at 16th St. and Bethany Home, but I think of New Mexican cuisine as being distinct from Mexican.martybl
