Discussion board members expend ENORMOUS energy on other esoteric and even mundane topics without complaining, yet when it comes to spiritual topics, some people simply can't stand the discussion. Why is that?

Because their belief system is being challenged.

If their belief system is challenged, they must re-think their position.

If they re-think their position, they may be required to make a decision.

If they're required to make a decision, it may upset their lifestyle.

They don't want to upset their lifestyle. They like running their own show.
