I played the game and had 262 dollars left over at the end of the month. However I freely admit that I learned to be frugal by choice--wonder if it makes a difference if one doesn't have a choice.

I was poor by choice in the 70's, to avoid paying taxes to support the Vietnam War. I, and my friends who were doing the same, were always acutely aware that our experience was nothing at all like being poor without choice.
