would like info on what to look for in reits. I am 62 and facing an unplanned retirement situation. Have a stock broker because I'm still learning and white-knuckled. I think I need something that will provide dependable income. Any suggestions? Susan Hi Susan,Because of rising interest rates and REITS being out of favor with investors right now, some REITS may have a problem getting funds to purchase more properties. Perhaps this could lead to lower income for the REITS.Be very careful which REITS you purchase and question your stock broker very closely. Overly high dividends often mean high risk of capital. Been there, done that.Fool on!follydolly
