I've been thinking about this for the past couple of weeks and I just wanted to know what non-Vikings fan think. He started the year off pretty well but has had some major issues through the middle of the season. In yesterdays game he cost them the win with those 2 INT's in the red zone. It could be argued that the Packers could have come back but those passes were both horrible decisions and by coming away with zero points the Vikings allowed the Packers to keep the defense on its heels instead of pinning their ears back and harrassing Rodgers.
Obviously Webb isn't the long term QB answer (at least from what we've seen) and Ponder was a first round pick that they invested a lot in. He's also shown some promise and realistically this is his first year as the starter. My problem with him is that I'm not sure he's the QB I thought he might be. He seems to have "happy feet" and again, decisions he's made that led to INT's didn't seem to just be "rookie mistakes."
Thoughts anyone?
