Wow Rob,

your story and mine are very very close in their material.

I only do well when I see long term set ups. And avoid any margin.

All my better trades take the patience of a saint.

In 2002 I started to tell Mish I was going to use options for the first time.....in a swing trade....I thought Rambus was going to be my target at certain levels. Then I would get into my options cheap. I would trade out of them earlier than later.

I ended up with the perfect time....a bit more research and I used XMSR.....made 1400% in one trade.....then I "knew what I was doing with options".......but not with timing. Had a few close massive bets....a lot of losses....and no real timing skills.

URZ has not panned out yet. But I am thinking with the macro situation that gold and perhaps Ux will rise at this point.

If I get into a position with some money again I will buy european bonds. and not look back.

Good luck whatever you decide to do.

one of the bigger differences between us is that I like the work I do. and have not thought of leaving the markets at least not for now.

Dave
