Wow! This thread has been a huge stroll down memory lane especially in regards to the old Apple II games that alot of us know and love. Here's my list:

5. Tunnels of Doom - Our very first PC was a TI-99 and this game was the bomb. It was my first experience with dungeon-esque gaming and also the first time we would have to block hours away just to play it.

4. Castle Wolfenstein (original) - This was the first addicive game that we had when we got our Appple IIe. I still remember the freedom of being able to make your own passages to other rooms with the grenades.

3. X-wing - In college up in the Frozen Tundra of Grand Forks, ND, we got snowed into our apartment for an extended period of time and I must have flown about 15 missions during that span.

2. Half-Life - There was a time between the old Apple games and the recent first person shooters where I really didn't play computer games much. This game brought me back. The story is decent, the puzzles outstanding, and the game deserves all the accolades that it has gotten in this thread.

1. Zork - Actually there are a lot of the Infocom games that merit consideration for me, Hitchhiker, Planetfall, Enchanter, the list goes on and on. Like the saying goes, you never forget your first and when I discovered this game it was mind-blowing. It's probably the biggest reason that I learned how to type.
