along with her adopted sister. She was wagging her tail and happy to see me. A friend who lost her dog last yr. to cancer, visited her earlier today and took pictures and brought this humongous stuffed animal for her....it's very huggable.
Anyway, the vet couldn't say decisively what the cells were, she said she saw some lymphocites so she sent off sample to lab and she should receive results back tomorrow evening.
The goal is just to get information about what it could be that is narrowing a section of her intestine. She likened it to a clogged artery.
Lots to think about and of course, I don't want to.....options are different chemo if it's lymphoma, cut it out if possible, and euthanasia either now or after a period of time. Awful, just awful, I'm depressed about it all.
It sure was good to see her and spend time with her. She's been given a little food so she doesn't have problems with it. Low blood sugar because she's not getting much food and her body has been under stress.
She is drinking water just fine. She can go without food for a month...perhaps some other form of food is possible....will see, it's not going to be an easy decision. I have never euthanized an animal who still is wagging her tail and alert....but that's not to say I deny the reality of the inevitable.
