Ya because no one EVER looks to see how their stocks are doing... Please. Do you pay your bills before vacation?? Besides I KNOW when $300 leaves my checking account. And believe me I check my account the day it leaves to see what I bought in at so that I can enter the information into my Motley Fool portfolio tracker.

It's not looking to see how their stocks are doing and it's not paying bills. It's not even purchasing stocks.

It's the monthly fee that automatically occurs, and it's only $8. Think of all you have to do before a vacation (stop the paper, stop the mail, arrange for your neighbor's kid to feed the fish, tune up your car, arrange hotels, etc.). I don't know that making sure to change your brokerage plan to per-transaction is gonna be high on your list.

And I don't know what e-mail you have to send, but I just checked on the B&H site, and you can do it online without sending an e-mail.
