Just got my official invite to join AARP. I thought surely this is junk mail, not taking into account my age. Wrong. You only need to be 50 to join, and it costs $16 per year.
Jeez: am I that old? This org has the usual travel discounts you would expect, and then something caught my eye that really made me stop and think: Long Term Care Insurance. My dad has LTCI, and he is currently living independantly (kinda) in a LTC facility pretty much free since the insurance pays for it all. This way, no family member has to be burdened with having to care for him.
Question: is this what we should all have?
