Yes aksbre, there really is a Santa Claus.

Buried in a Nov 14/00 press release ( http://www.lib.com/press_releases/pr_finalQ300.html ) on LFC's web site is a paragragh:

<<On November 1, 2000, the Company also announced initiatives for improved profitability and further announced that it has retained CS First Boston to help explore strategic alternatives, including the possible sale of the Company.>>

If you check recent stock prices, you will see a dramatic jump at the beginning of November, from the mid $20's to todays closing at $43. As far a buyers are concerned, I haven't a clue.
