Yes, and it's amazing how much misinformation there is about dragons.

First of all, they don't breathe fire and never did. They spit acid. So do we, only ours is much milder and does not cause instant burns.

Second, it's a myth that they look like flying dinosaurs. In reality, most species of dragons did not fly at all. The ones that did fly were not true dragons. DNA tests prove this.

Dragons did not battle Catholic saints. Indeed they knew nothing about religion and tended to avoid battle with anything they didn't plan to eat. Since they didn't really breathe fire, they weren't interested in eating friars either.

Dinosaurs were not big lizards. Much of what was known about dinosaurs 50 years ago has proven to be wrong. Dragons on the other hand were/are big lizards. They really had/have forked tongues, unlike dinosaurs.

Asians and Europeans portray dragons differently. The ones in Chinese parades and the ones in old European art are quite different. That part might be historically accurate. It's not clear how closely related different species were, or even if they were all of the same genus. On the other hand, some believe that they were all of the same species and all capable of interbreeding. That view is highly controversial, and not accepted by most mainstream dracologists.
