Yes, but we should pretty much take a look at all subsidies. Another terrible one is the farming subsidy. The rules were rewritten at some point to benefit agribuisness. It promotes enormous monoculture crop farming which is terrible for the land and the farmer (basically corn and/or soybeans). Agribusiness then makes huge profits buying the cheap corn that the gov't helps pay for and then processes the food and "adding value". So much of the industrial food chain is based on corn, it is disgusting.


Why should the government subsidize ANY business?

Just asking here. Not saying they shouldn't. Just asking why they should. And IF they should, which businesses should they (meaning WE) subsidize?
