Yes, I used to invest in pharmaceutical stocks in the 1990s, but it got to a point where I found it hard to evaluate them. For one thing, they are always suing each other. And then there are the scandals where law suits go on and on for years and years, like Merck and the drug Vioxx and Pfizer with Bextra, etc. When you see Merck's stock today, remember it's all-time high was $100/sh and Phizer's all-time high was $50/sh.What I have done is own a couple of health care (including pharmaceuticals) mutual funds - Vanguard and T. Rowe Price, and they are doing well.brucedoe
