Yes -- If you are going to need your money that soon, I don't think you should have it in the stock market at all. Conventional wisdom says you shouldn't put it in the market if you're going to need it with FIVE years, and while I think that's a little extreme, I think if you're going to use it within the year, it ought to be in a money market or CD. Otherwise you could have a nasty surprise if the market tanks close to the big day.
