yes, Mom canned everything she could... Green beans to fruits.. She had a big alluminum cooker, two layers of quart jars I thin, but they may have been smaller jars, locknuts around the top and a gauge to watch.. That went to my fisherman brother, was going to can his own salmon, but I don't know if it really happened.

Mom also made her own mayo, no recipe, just a bit of this n that, she grew up in Montana, had worked as a trail cook on I don't know how many hearing trips, but she learned to make do with whatever was handy, keep the guys happy.. Gravy, always, out of thin air it seemed..

Me, I stick to artichokes, have a plan that works, so stick with it...

If I had my own plants, maybe I'd have the courage to try cutting them back, clearing the choke, but, not so far..

Whole, with some good Ale, Mayo... Mmmm..
