Yes... so the government released a bunch of big horn rams into the area. Duh!!! Bunch of hungry mountain lions running around with a free snack. And the government folks wonder why they keep finding all the big horns on Mt. Lemmon dead.

I don't remember that program. Interesting. Well, in principle the predator/prey thing should balance itself. I would expect to lose some of the sheep, and then the cougars population would drop due to lack of food, and there-ya-go...it all equals-out.

A 50lb cat is pretty imposing! And definitely as big as a German shepherd. Interesting they are afraid of a dog (even one twice that big). I've seen housecats stand up to dogs 10x their size. :-)
