Yes, still alive and shuffling investments. Haven't posted because it takes at least two to dialogue. Why don't you let us know what is in one of your portfolios, so we can discuss it?

I'll get that idea started by mentioning my current main focus, broadband access to the Internet. Believe me, when people get a taste of high speed access they are hooked, and applications are multiplying that need broadband. Among my favorites (many of which I own)are
some equipment manufacturers.

Cisco (CSCO) Leading supplier of routers and the dominant Internet equipment company.
Lucent (LU) Spun off from AT&T, voice moving to data
Nortel Networks (NT) Canadian company doing some of both of the above
JDS-Uniphase (JDSU) Dominant supplier of lasers and related equipment for sending lots of data over optical fiber
Broadcom (BRCM) Semiconductor manufacturer, with presence in cable modems and many other areas. Recently bought Epigram, which makes home networking equipment
PMC-Sierra (PMCS) Another chip manufacturer with a specialty in communications

There are some others, but that should do for now. Let me know when a meeting would work for everyone. Can't wait to hear Arlene's account of her new fame!

Rick
