Yet, nationalism under a religious flag still smells like hatred of a foreign, GENTILE, people.We (Jews) don't hate gentiles. We just think we're holier then they are and their (more fun) unholy ways would tempt us out of our holiness if we associate to freely with them. That isn't hatred, it is Elitism (sp?). Elitism is found in many societies and isn't constrained to religions. Artists can think they are better than other people, scientists can think it, farmers can think it. Who ever thinks their duties are more important to the state of the world that other peoples concerns are elitist.
