Yikes, that is early! I was still asleep and I'm in EDT!

My big paper organization style was piles.
In college I bought a tall thin bookcase (about 14" wide, 6ft tall, 8 shelves) and sorted into shelves.

Now that I have a house and a desk I use nice wood magazine holders. The annual reports go into one. The coupons and week's grocery ads go in another. And I have four for my filing: reciepts, todo, warrenties and instructions, data entry. (everything else to be filed goes in a big box under the table. That box has all of the papers since I moved in August 1998!)

It's working because the piles don't overwhelm me. While I'd still like to get a filing cabinet, I can get to the papers I need.

That was the big demon for me re: taxes. I needed to find papers in the big box of filing!

Good luck all with taxes and decluttering!
