you are missing a lot, as in money. just google demos 401k, go to --hidden 401k fees - the great retirement plan rip off. pretty scary stuff, you might want to think about a roth, after you get the match. down the road the match is just a small gift to the IRS when you figure in the taxes. if you are in a large plan the administrative costs are taken of- check with H & R to make sure, small plans get kill.a self direct roth is a nice way to go. good luck, jim
