You are still underestimating the value of the increased economic activity with attendant jobs, and the value of keeping all that money in the US as opposed to sending it to others.

Sorry, don't buy it. I'm not disputing that such would occur (it would). But that would still occur if we forced the oil companies to give the American people a cut for removing our oil from our land.

And I think you overestimate the economic activity that your proposed expansion would generate. Though since neither of us seem to have solid, reliable numbers, we'll probably have to agree to disagree on that point.
