You don't think there is any chance of research finding something new?Something new absolutely, chances that "something new" will involve a new fission reactor, slim to none...now something involving using excess capacity from the nukes we already have when it's available + "alternative sources" including "co-generation" to fraction H2 and "burn" it later with a grid of 250 kW fuel cell plants...we're <5 years from that being a practical possibility...
