You stopped spending before you hit big numbers with commas in them........celebrate that! Credit card control is like slipping off your diet - if you stop it before you flip out too badly and eat (buy) everything in sight, it usually isn't too bad.

How much extra should you pay to get rid of this debt, you ask? Hey, if you can afford to pay it all this month, go for it! It may mean 30 days of peanut butter and crackers, but you will be DEBT FREE and the greedy Citibank vultures won't be feasting on your balance by charging you double digit interest rates.

The next time you are tempted to reach for that card....just keep a copy of your post in your wallet next to the card and read it before buying anything. It may make you decide you don't need it as badly as you think you do!

To paraphrase:

"Experience keeps a dear school, but some Fools will learn by no other."
