You'll be paying for it anyway.

Guess what. You are paying for it. I'm amazed at the levels of ignorance there is regarding how health care in this country works today.

Folks without insurance tend to put off health care until it becomes an emergency. They show up at the emergency room. Our emergency rooms are not kicking these people into the gutter to die. They treat them.

Who pays??? Everyone who is insured pays more to cover these costs. It is a hidden tax. Your wallet already has a leak in it. Your insurance company is charging you to take care of the uninsured without telling you. They are then taking another 20% to 30% to satisfy the institutional investors who buy their stock. You are paying about twice as much as you would be paying for better coverage in another country.
