Your note is not too specific but I assume that GLOBAL WARMING is the happening of greatest concern.
I estimated that carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere based on coal, petroleum products and natural gas consumption inceases the concentration by 6 ppm of CO2 annualy. (6 parts per million or .0006 wt % is a very small change)

The total CO2 in the atmsphere is approximately 480 ppm now up from 420 ppm about 40 years ago. I have not been able to find a scientifict
method of determining how such a small change in atmospheric CO2 could account for global warming alone.

There are scientists who believe sunspots are the culprit.

Assuming CO2 is the culprit in global warming I do not think mankind can or has the means to reverse the trend significantly without an enormous change in our lifestyles and consequently our economies.

All the best in the new year
