Your post really brought back a lot of memories for me. I'm a Montana Native myself but have lived in California for the last 6 years. I left the state for the same reasons you did, just couldn't get anywhere with a career or a financial life. I'm even the same age as you but did my growing up in the Great Falls area. But I left my heart there and hope to return to visit family and friends sometime this summer. I still haven't been able to be nostalgic over the winters but oh to be in Montana now that springtime is near. My parents still work at the Boat Loft at Holter Lake during the summers but are snowbirds to Arizona in the winters.

Anyway, this board has been on my favorites list for a long time and I don't remember if I ever posted to it before but I happened to come across it again today after several months and always loved reading the posts here.
