You've asked this question a couple of times already, so I don't understand why you are still asking it. On this thread on the the Tax Strategies board http://boards.fool.com/iras-to-pay-for-college-views-2928732... I gave my opinion that an IRA should be for retirement.

If you want to do this, just do it, but you have received answers to this question already pointing out why it's not a good idea. Are you just looking for someone to validate this so that you can do it? Seems like you have already made up your mind, so I'm not sure what you hope to gain by asking the same question repeatedly.

There's no reason you can't save your money in a taxable account, which is what we chose to do for a variety of reasons although we also did small 529s for the kids as well.
