Love it, thanks!

Cathie Wood says she didn't know you could short more shares than the float. This is the problem with empirical knowledge. Aristotle was wrong about the laws of motion and the world believed it for 2000 years until Newton, with better technology, math, and science, was able to state more accurate laws of motion. Like Cathie, I never even though about how many shares you could short and the first impression is that the float should be the limit. it is only after you follow the process in detail (better technology, math, and science) that you learn how things work.

Ark's Cathie Wood discusses Reddit, GameStop, potential bond bubble, and short sellers </b:

The most important lesson for new investors, learn to pick stocks and then TRUST YOURSELF. Don't panic. I added SunPower Corp. (SPWR) to my Cathie list...

Jan 15: $31.79 - Bought some
Jan 26: $53.92 - Going to the Moon!
Feb 01: $48.69 - Looks like a correction. Sell? Hold? Sell covered calls?
Feb 02: $43.76 - Sold Feb 4 covered calls, strike $45, @$2.60
Feb 04: $40.13 - Roll calls forward to Feb 12, strike $45, net $1.40
Except for Jan 15, the above are end of day prices, I was working with intraday prices

$4 in call premiums is 12.5% of the cost of the shares in just 20 days - in hard cash - just over one and a half months rent! And I still have my shares. And if called on Feb 12 @$45, a profit of 61% in less than a month. Like Liberace liked to say: "I cried all the way to the bank."
