I'm just a novice with a couple-thousand-buck's. What ONE company, has a long-term (15-30 years) Business Model. That has a steady stream of recurrent-revenues, from their sales of products & or services?? **"I know software-companies have high profit margins, but i'm afraid that anyone can write better code." I like McAfee, but it only can protect from old viruses. And can-not protect from any new one's. In some way's this would be the ultimate software company. Because it gives the customer the illusion of virus protection. Yet never can stop a new strain. Thus a perpetual state of caught-up & recurring-sales. *** "What i'm saying is ; Is that i just don't want to get stuck in a; "seasonal" / "cyclical" -- stock like a semiconductor company, simular to a AMAT, ADI, AMD, etc.. If you could only own 1-stock, and your sell-date was 20 year's from now, what would it be??
