(1) DRiPs investments should be approached from a 20-30 year time frame. F4 will rotate ownership every 12 months.

(2) Dow stocks generally charge hefty fees for monthly optional cash investments and some charge fees to reinvest dividends. With the current F4 list, MO charges "zero," IP "zero," CAT $2.50 per investment and DD $3.00 per investment. On total, the current F4 list of DRiP companies is "fee reasonable;" however, if you send to CAT & DD, obviously, 2.5-3.0% of your investment heads down the proverbial brokerage toilet.

(3) Most DRiP programs charge $12 to $20 to liquidate holdings which make F4 rotations expensive.

(4) It takes 4-6 weeks to establish a DRiP account. By the time you're registered with the transfer agent with stock issued in your name, 2-3 months of the F4 investment cycle will have passed without meaningful stock ownership.

(5) It takes 4-6 weeks to get your money from a DRiP liquidation which compounds the timing problem for the next rotation.

Hope this helps.
