1. I believe the public figure of the Millenium that has had the most influence not just on me but on everybody is Gutenberg.

2. The most significant innovation of the Millenium is the printing press. Without it we'd still be in the Middle Ages.

3. None. In the next thousand years the manner of doing business will have changed drastically not only from an economist's or a CFO's viewpoint but also with respect to ethics (the reaction to the WTO meeeting in Seattle is an example), the needs of society and the quantity and variety of raw materials available. I don't believe any of the present companies will exist by then, at least not in their present form.
