100 year old technology os just not going to fly.I if they think that nuclear is going to be part of the plan they need new clean sheet designs.

There weren't any nuclear reactors around in 1919. Lise Meitner, Otto Hahn and Otto Frisch made their discoveries, and correctly interpreted what was going on, in 1938. The first small power reactors were developed in the 1950s, as I recall.

Whatever. There are several new designs, the so-called Generation IV reactors.

Meanwhile, the atmospheric CO2 concentration is going up every year. The clock is ticking, and past efforts with the intermittent renewables have been woefully inadequate.
