Well, we're back to the period in English history of the Saxon Kings. Ethelred II the Redeless (not a typo...978-1016)was about as useful as an OSTK director and the king was booted by Danish Vikings in 1013. Basically during this period of time, the Vikings kept getting restless in the summertime, so they came down and beat up on the lame English, who were probably spending most of their time prancing around Stonehenge eating pig entrails. Ethelred the Redeless's son was actually not that lame. This pius guy was later canonized and was known as Edward the Confessor, who came in as the big cheese when the Viking kings decided that English women had bad teeth and smelled like old Stilton.

Patrick...if you too confess, you might just be canonized. If not, some angry Dane named "Sammy the Blogger" might beat the bejeezus out of you.
