My new MacBook Pro has afforded me the opportunity to rejoin the group after an absence that lasted way too long. I have BOINC up and operating successfully. It has chewed up several work units already.

Question 1: The work seems to really heat up my computer. I went into preferences and found that I could make some adjustments, but don't know how draconian I need to be. What would anyone suggest as my settings to keep BOINC from melting my computer?

Question 2: After roughly 24 hours of chugging along my screen-saver now gives me the message that "BOINC is currently idle." Do I need to change a setting somewhere in order to get new work units, or does BOINC fall silent from time to time?
