The 2010 Scrooge screen results are in and they are official. After a five-year winning streak, the miser finally lost to Mr. Market. Details:

Am I bummed? Yeah, sorta. But I'm also not surprised. When last year's screen gave us only two candidates, I knew we were taking on an uncomfortable amount of risk.

The good news is that this year's screen returned six small-cap options, some of which look enticing. Shengdatech couples a nice valuation with what appears to be good growth prospects. Performed Line Products pays a small dividend and has virtually no analyst coverage.

I'm anxious to buy both stocks and the remaining four when disclosure rules permit. Think I'm crazy? Any other thoughts on this year's screen?

Foolish best,
