250 ticker symbols * 2 (Transaction round-trip) = at least 500 transactions

At least.

...Doesn't that qualify you as a trader?

I've looked into that. It is not my primary occupation and I saw little benefit to claiming trader status. For a while I tried daily trading, where positions are opened one day and closed the next, NOT to be confused with day trading where positions are opened and closed on the same day. I wasn't happy with the results of daily trading so I no longer do it.

I was happy with Gainskeeper (sorry, Ed) but their renewal policy just stinks.
