I have been watching RTN and other defendse stocks over the last few months and have a few questions if anyone can help.

Does anyone have a celar understanding of why RTN has lagged in growth in the last three years among the defense contractors?

The airline and auto industries are in trouble with their pension liabilities over the next 10 years. Does anyone have any concerns over RTN's current pension liabilities or know of any recent analysis of this area?

From the last few quarterly filings it seems as though Ratheon has a 2 to 3 year revenue stream under contract. I have not waded through the various system contracts -- anyone know if there are any controversial contracts that could be subject to be unfunded or cut?

Is anyone worried about the future of the aircraft business given the recent spike in fuel prices?

Lastly, the current administration will be gone in three years. However, there seems to be a shift in spending philosophy between the congress and the president. With next year being an election year, does anyone think that the current congress will seek to freeze spending levels or actually cut nay spending? If so, any thoughts on whether or not Raytheon will be as affected by any freeze or reduction in spending as the larger deense contractors?

Any help in finding the answers to these questions and any history as to these issues would be appreciated.

Thanks

T. Allan
