This may be a very naive question, but here it goes anyway. Everyday when I wake up and watch "Squawk Box" I see the 30 year bond yeilds and periodically the price as well. I understand how to calculate a price, but what I want to know is what 30 year bond are they referencing for their reported yield and price? Are those bonds issued weekly, monthly, etc?

Thanks in advance for what I am sure will be an informative answer.
