This is not tempting to me, but, if interested,

Just read an article about this bond, 345370BW9 is the CUSIP, Ford, due 2047, 9.98% coupon, priced $158, current yield 6.3%, YTM is 2.91%.

I think the idea of the article was to buy the bond for income, and worry about the capital loss further down the road. Or, if you don't happen to be around in 2047, let someone else worry about it. Suggested this bond might be a better alternative to owning the stock for income.

I suppose one could buy the bond for the annual 6.3% return and then use your crystal ball to sell it at some point in the future before the price drops too much.

The bond is non-callable, that's the big thing.

Anyways, I'm not interested in it, but thought I'd post this in case anyone else is. All the figures are from the article, and not mine. Here is the link to the article:
